Libya participates in the 50th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in the Cameroonian capital.


Libya participated in the 50th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which was held on August 29 and 30 in the Cameroonian capital, Yaoundé, with a delegation headed by “Mohamed Issa,” Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs in the Government of National Unity.

According to the Ministry’s website, Issa stated in his remark at the session that was held under the title ‘Developing the Transportation Infrastructure within the Framework of the OIC: A Key Tool in Combating Poverty and Insecurity” that reducing poverty and combating social insecurity in developing societies requires a set of economic and social measures within a strategic line for sustainable development in the least developed countries.

He stressed the importance of investing in developing the transportation infrastructure to protect poor families and ensure that their members receive vital services such as health and education.

On the sidelines of the sess
ion, Issa held several meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Merzoug, and Palestine, Riyad Mansour, as well as the Foreign Ministers of Niger, Bakary Sangare, and Gambia, Mamadou Tangara, and the Secretary-General of the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Ben Ayad, where the topics of the agenda of the current session were discussed and the bilateral relations between Libya and these countries.

Issa stressed the need for actual action to end the aggression and the war of genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza and to work to hold the occupation accountable for its crimes.

Military operations kill 37 militants in N. Pakistan

At least 37 “terrorists” were killed and 14 others injured in the ongoing intelligence-based operations of Pakistan Army in Pakistan’s northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, according to military sources.

The Commander of Frontier Corps, Brigadier Amir Nawaz Khan said Saturday the the security personnel have firmly confronted the incursion of militants from Afghanistan and are taking action against their hideouts in Tirah Valley of KPK.

Among the slain is Abu-Dhar Alias Saddam, a senior militant leader, Brig. Nawaz Khan noted.

Since August 20, a series of intelligence-based operations have been carried out against militants in the mountainous border area, army Brigadier Faisal noted in a statement after the operation.

Under a coordinated strategy, it was ensured that the loss of local population and Pakistan Army personnel was kept to a minimum while the enemy was inflicted with maximum damage.

The Pakistan Army has reiterated its commitment to protecting the lives and property of the local populat
ion against the threat posed by militants, Brig. Faisal added.

Earlier on Monday, at least 50 people, including 14 security men, lost their lives in a series of attacks across the southwestern Balochistan province. The incident took place at a time when Pakistan has witnessed a rise in terror attacks especially in KPK and Balochistan provinces bordering Afghanistan as banned outfit Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan ended the ceasefire agreement with the government last year.

Israeli occupation kills 28 in strikes on schools, camps in Gaza

The Israeli occupation continues to unleash relentless strikes on the Gaza strip killing 28 Palestinians on Sunday in different areas including schools and camps.

The Palestinian Civil Defense reported that they recovered six bodies martyred and others injured by an Israeli strike on a school that was housing the displaced Palestinians southwest of Gaza.

Medical teams recovered eight others after a strike in Beit Lahia northern Gaza; meanwhile in Khan Younis southern Gaza, 10 martyrs arrived at city hospitals following an Israeli occupation attack on a residential building and a camp in outskirts of the city.

The rescue teams added that three Palestinians were martyred in central Gaza by an attack on vehicle that was driving in Salah Aldin St.

Health authorities in Gaza reported earlier that 47 Palestinians were martyred by the Israeli occupations in three massacres on Saturday, adding to the death toll to reach 40,738 martyred and 94,154 injured since Oct 7.

A force from the Rapid Response Division arrested a wanted person by the Integrity Commission in Kirkuk

The Division’s Command stated in a statement: A force from the Third Brigade affiliated with the Rapid Response Division Command in the Ministry of Interior arrested a wanted person in accordance with the provisions of Article 160 of the Penal Code in Kirkuk Governorate.

It explained that the arrest operation came in cooperation with the Federal Integrity Commission and in coordination with the Rapid Response Intelligence Department, where the wanted person was duly handed over to the requesting party.

Three Palestinians killed by Israeli occupation’s forces in West Bank

Three Palestinian youths were killed on Sunday by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, among them a shooter the Israeli occupation claims he was carrying out an attack north of Hebron, in which three occupation soldiers were killed.

The Palestinian General Authority for Civil Affairs stated that it had informed the Ministry of Health that Muhannad Al-Asoud (34 years old) had been killed by occupation’s forces in the city of Hebron and that his body had been detained.

For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the bodies of two martyrs arrived at the Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital in Jenin as a result of the Israeli occupation’s aggression against the town of Kafr Dan.

Palestinian sources said that the occupation forces shot the two young men, Abdullah Hamo and Muhammad Hamo, and prevented ambulances from reaching them and transport them to the hospital, where they were declared martyred.

Russia announces the killing of more than 8,500 Ukrainian soldiers and the control of two towns in Donetsk

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Sunday, that the losses of Ukrainian forces during an attempt to penetrate Russian territory on the Kursk axis amounted to more than 8,500 soldiers.

The Ministry stated in a statement that its air defense units destroyed 158 drones launched by Ukraine during the night, including nine drones over Moscow and the surrounding areas.

On the other hand, the ministry indicated that the Russian army took control of two new towns, /Ptychi/ and /Vymka/ in the /Donetsk/ province in eastern Ukraine.
