Cairo: The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, strongly denounced the recent statements made by the Prime Minister of the occupying state concerning the transfer of Palestinians to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Aboul Gheit emphasized that the logic behind such statements is unacceptable and demonstrates a complete detachment from reality.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Jamal Rushdi, the official spokesman for the Secretary-General, quoted Aboul Gheit as asserting that the Palestinian state will only be founded on the land of Palestine, which was occupied in 1967. He underscored that East Jerusalem should be its capital, and the territory should include both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, without any separation between them. Aboul Gheit dismissed any alternative ideas as mere illusions existing solely in the minds of those proposing them.
