ABU SHAKRA DENIES MEETING BETWEEN FUEL DISTRIBUTORS, CENTRAL BANK GOVERNOR

Representative of Lebanon’s fuel distributors, Fadi Abu Shakra, on Friday denied news circulating on social media about an alleged meeting between the distributors and governor of the central bank, Riad Salameh.

“This news is flatly untrue,” Abu Shakra said in a phone call with the National News Agency.

“Such news causes further tension and confusion among citizens who are already suffering due to gasoline shortage,” he added.
