The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, met today, Sunday, with the mayors of the municipalities of the West Coast, in the presence of the Ministers of Local Government, Education, Interior, and the State in charge of Cabinet Affairs, the heads of the executive agencies, the head of the Internal Security Service, and the head of the Authority. General Endowments and Islamic Affairs, and Head of the Medical Supply Authority, in order to identify the difficulties facing municipalities in performing their duties to provide services to citizens.
The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated that the mayors of the municipalities presented during the meeting many of the problems they face, especially in the health and education sectors, in addition to the challenges of the security situation and supporting the security directorates to perform their role in stabilizing the municipalities and eliminating crime and smuggling, in addition to their rejection of the measures taken regardi
ng the establishment of illegitimate bodies from illegal parties with the aim of provoking strife and destabilizing security.
According to the same source, Al-Dabaiba directed the ministries and executive agencies to set a timetable for the projects being implemented in the municipalities of the West Coast, focus on service projects, cooperate with the Ministries of Interior and Defense in their efforts to combat smuggling and crime, and continuous communication between all, and with state institutions, to address all the bottlenecks facing them.
The meeting was attended by the mayors of the municipalities of (Al-Zawiya Center – Al-Zawiya South – Al-Zawiya West – Sorman – Al-Mansheya – Raqdalin – Zuwara – Al-Jadida – Sabratha – Al-Ajailat – Al-Jamil).
