First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, received today, Sunday, in his office, Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani, in the presence of the head of the Parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee, Haibat Al-Halbousi, and a number of deputies.
During the meeting, according to a statement by his office, they discussed the financial allocations for the ministry in the draft federal budget law, and emphasized the support of the House of Representatives with regard to developing integrated plans for the development and investment of clean energy development projects, associated gas and refineries, and the advancement of the existing infrastructure, and everything that contributes to securing the needs of electricity stations and support of the national economy.
The First Deputy expressed the Council’s keenness to support government efforts regarding the energy file and the maturity of legislation that serves the oil sector, calling for the importance of permanent and effective coordination between the Ministry and the concerned committee in order to find solutions for all obstacles facing the Ministry’s work.
