Bkerki: Maronite Patriarch, Bechara Boutros al-Rahi, on Tuesday received delegations at Bkerki, where discussions focused on preparations for a global diaspora conference and the current situation in Lebanon, especially the southern region. Participants conveyed concerns over the ongoing war and its humanitarian and economic repercussions, stressing the need for stability and an end to hostilities.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Al-Rahi reiterated the importance of dialogue and internationally backed negotiations to restore stability, while emphasizing the need to uphold state authority, unity, and national institutions. The Maronite Patriarch also highlighted the resilience of residents in southern border villages and called for continued support to help them remain on their land amid difficult conditions.
