Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, chaired a high-level security meeting on Wednesday to evaluate the nation's security situation in light of ongoing Israeli attacks and their widespread impacts across the country.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, presidential spokesperson Najat Charafeddine conveyed that military and security leaders presented comprehensive reports on the developments throughout Lebanon, including regions such as the south, Bekaa, and Beirut with its southern suburbs. These reports highlighted casualties, displacement, and damage to infrastructure. The discussions also focused on coordination at the border with Syria and the return of approximately 100,000 Syrian refugees.

Aoun emphasized the complete preparedness of the armed forces and security agencies, advocating for a unifying national dialogue and cautioning against sectarian incitement, particularly in media and online platforms.

Furthermore, he urged local authorities to enhance shelter capacities, ensure security for displaced populations, and maintain dignity in accordance with the law. Aoun also stressed the importance of monitoring prices and tackling profiteering to stabilize the situation.
