Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, engaged in a series of pivotal meetings with Information Minister Paul Morcos, MP Marwan Hamadeh, MP Michel Daher, and Industry Minister Joe Issa El-Khoury. The discussions centered around media legislation, developments in southern Lebanon, economic challenges, and the industrial sector.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Morcos emphasized that the new media law is essential for advancing the media sector but highlighted that it requires further amendments to be fully effective. He reiterated the importance of constitutional protection for public and media freedoms and committed to ensuring these protections are reflected in the law. Morcos also discussed strategies for revitalizing T©l© Liban and the necessary steps for its advancement.

Hamadeh addressed the ongoing situation in southern Lebanon, advocating for negotiations as the most effective approach. He likened these negotiations to a critical battle and stressed the need for a well-defined strategy. Hamadeh expressed optimism that President Aoun's initiatives would guide Lebanon towards stability and mentioned efforts in Parliament to pass a general amnesty law that ensures fairness.

Daher focused on the economic challenges facing the country, particularly emphasizing the needs of the Bekaa region as winter approaches. The discussions with Aoun aimed at addressing these economic issues to mitigate livelihood difficulties.

Issa El-Khoury highlighted the industrial sector in his meeting with Aoun, expressing support for the President's negotiation efforts. He underscored the importance of backing the President's initiatives to strengthen the industrial sector and improve the nation's economic conditions.
