Beirut: Director General of General Security, Major General Hassan Choucair, on Thursday met in his office with Danish Ambassador to Lebanon Kristoffer Vivike, accompanied by a delegation from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) covering the Middle East and Africa. Discussions focused on the refugee situation in Lebanon and the wider region, with both sides reviewing ongoing coordination efforts between Lebanese authorities and international organizations to address humanitarian and logistical challenges related to the displaced populations.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the meeting highlighted the significant role of international cooperation in managing the refugee crisis. The dialogue underscored the importance of enhancing efforts to provide assistance to displaced populations, ensuring access to essential services, and maintaining stability in the region. The discussions were part of a broader initiative to strengthen partnerships between Lebanon and international entities committed to addressing the complex challenges posed by large-scale displacement.
