Araghchi Announces Iran’s Willingness for “No Nuclear Weapons, No Sanctions” Agreement


Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has declared that Iran is prepared to commit to a “fair and balanced” nuclear agreement that ensures the country does not possess nuclear weapons, emphasizing that lifting sanctions is essential for any potential understanding.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Araghchi clarified in a post on “X” that Iran has never sought nuclear weapons and expressed Tehran’s readiness for an agreement that both upholds the principle of “no nuclear weapons” and provides solid assurances for the removal of sanctions imposed on the country.



The Foreign Minister also highlighted the contributions of Turkey and other regional countries in promoting peace and stability. He expressed Tehran’s gratitude for what he referred to as “fraternal efforts” aimed at reducing regional tensions.
