Beirut: The Army Command's Orientation Directorate issued a statement on Saturday, indicating that amidst the continued Israeli attacks on various Lebanese regions, and the increasing challenges facing the country, calls have recently emerged urging citizens to gather and protest in pursuit of several demands.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Army Command, while affirming its respect for the right to peaceful expression of opinion, strongly warned against any action that could jeopardize stability and civil peace in the country, or lead to infringement on public and private property.
The Army's statement also emphasized that its units will intervene decisively to prevent any threat to internal stability, at a time when Lebanon needs the highest levels of awareness and responsibility.
The Army leadership, thus, urged citizens to cooperate and comply with the directives of the deployed military units.
