Amman: The Southern Military Zone successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle narcotics using a drone on Monday along its western front. A reliable source within the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces reported that border guard forces in the Southern Military Zone detected an unmanned aerial vehicle attempting to cross the border illegally. The drone was neutralized according to the rules of engagement and brought down within Jordanian territory. The confiscated items were subsequently handed over to the relevant authorities.
