ARMY: RAID OPERATION IN BRITEL, QUANTITY OF WEAPONS, DRUGS SEIZED

Lebanese Army Command – Orientation Directorate issued a statement on Saturday, in which it indicated that a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate in the town of Britel in the Bekaa region raided today the homes of several individuals who participated in a clash that occurred on June 26, 2021, over filling fuel favorability at one of the gas stations in the area, which led to open fire using various weapons.

As a result of the raid, the Army patrol unit seized a quantity of light and medium weapons, various ammunitions, counterfeit 100-dollar bank notes, in addition to a quantity of cocaine and Captagon pills, the statement added.

The seized quantities were handed over to the concerned sides, while those involved in the clash are being tracked down for arrest.
