HAMADEH: ELECTIONS REMAIN THREATENED BY REGIONAL DEVELOPMENTS

Higher Learning and National Education Minister, Marwan Hamadeh, warned on Monday that Parliamentary elections remained threatened by regional developments.

Interviewed by the Voice of Lebanon radio station, the Minister went on to rule out the possibility of war breaking out in the region.

“Current developments in Syria’s Afrin are an outright translation of an agreement rather than a war decision,” Hamadeh said.

Touching on the electricity dossier, Hamadeh said that he was in favor of managing this issue after legislative elections and in the presence of a new government.
