Berri Cancels Eid al-Fitr Greetings, Urges Unity Amid Ongoing Conflict

Beirut: House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Thursday announced he will not receive Eid al-Fitr greetings this year due to the ongoing Israeli offensive on Lebanon. Marking the occasion, Berri described Eid as "immersed in the blood of innocent civilians," highlighting the suffering of displaced Lebanese and the humanitarian toll of the conflict.

According to National Nws Aency - Lebanon, Berri called on citizens, particularly the displaced, those sheltering them, and communities under strain, to uphold unity, solidarity, and cohesion. He stressed that national unity remains the only path to safeguarding Lebanon during this critical period.
