Berri Discusses Health Sector and Political Developments Amid Israeli Aggression with Public Health Minister and Political Leaders

Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri on Wednesday engaged in discussions with Minister of Public Health Dr. Rakan Nasser El-Din at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El-Tineh. The meeting focused on recent political and field developments, along with the Ministry of Public Health's initiatives to address the impact of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon's health sector and hospitals.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions emphasized the state of the healthcare sector as the country deals with the consequences of the escalating aggression. Dr. Nasser El-Din reported that the Israeli aggression has resulted in 957 martyrs and 2,391 wounded, with numbers being updated by the Ministry of Health. He informed Speaker Berri about the efforts to provide medical care to the wounded and displaced in both public and private hospitals, highlighting the Ministry's collaboration with local and international organizations.

Additionally, Speaker Berri met with the Head of the Lebanese Democratic Party, former Minister Talal Arslan, to review the political situation and issues concerning the displaced persons amid the ongoing aggression. Arslan praised Berri's approach to maintaining national unity and the integrity of state institutions.

Berri also engaged with Minister of State for Administrative Development Affairs Fadi Makki, discussing the latest developments and strategies to address the challenges facing Lebanon.
