Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri met with ‘Strong Lebanon’ parliamentary bloc members Nicolas Sehnaoui and Edgar Traboulsi at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El Tineh. The discussions centered on the latest political and field developments as well as legislative matters.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, MP Edgar Traboulsi highlighted their discussions with Speaker Berri, focusing on the Beirut Municipality’s diversity and parity. They also reviewed several law proposals currently in Parliament. Traboulsi emphasized Speaker Berri’s commitment to maintaining national unity and preserving true parity within the Beirut Municipality.
Later, Speaker Berri welcomed a delegation from the American international law firm, Squires Patton Boggs, led by Attorney Gassan Baloul. Their discussions included the situation in Lebanon and the broader region, touching on political and field developments. The delegation underscored the firm’s role in offering legal and strategic advice to its represented countries, noting their presence in Beirut as a commitment to supporting Lebanon’s reform and progress.
Regional and international developments were also a topic of discussion, particularly Lebanon’s strategic importance and its role in the region. In the afternoon, Speaker Berri met with former Minister Ghazi Aridi to discuss the general situation and political developments.
