BLINKEN LANDS IN TEL AVIV FOR ISRAELI, PALESTINIAN TALKS

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken landed in Tel Aviv Monday, an AFP journalist said, where he is expected to seek calm amid a surge in Israeli-Palestinian violence.

Blinken is set to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem, before travelling to Ramallah in the occupied West Bank for talks with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas the following day.
