Bou Saab Stresses Need for Effective Parliament to Amend Electoral Law

Beirut: Following the adjournment of Tuesday’s legislative session, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Elias Bou Saab emphasized that Parliament cannot amend the electoral law unless it operates effectively, placing responsibility on MPs to attend sessions and secure quorum.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Bou Saab also stressed that it is Parliament’s duty to secure the rights of military personnel, noting that promises have been made to allocate additional funds for public sector employees.

Bou Saab further highlighted the approval of the law enabling municipalities, expressing hope that it would allow them to better serve citizens. He concluded by saying that those who did not formally decide to boycott the session should have attended.
