Civil Defense Recovers Body Off Amchit Coast

Amchit: The Maritime Rescue Units of the General Directorate of Civil Defense, with assistance from the relevant security agencies, successfully recovered the body of a citizen from the sea off the coast of Amchit at 3:15 p.m. today. The recovery took place in a challenging maritime area characterized by high waves and strong currents.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the body was subsequently transferred by Civil Defense ambulance teams to a nearby hospital. This action was taken following the order of the competent public prosecutor to facilitate the necessary legal procedures.

The Directorate has once again urged citizens to follow general safety guidelines while swimming and visiting beaches. Special caution is advised during periods of unstable weather, high waves, and strong winds. The public is also encouraged to avoid risky or unsafe maritime areas and to report emergencies by calling 125 or via WhatsApp at 70/192693.
