The Presidency of the Council of Ministers issued a memorandum on Sunday, declaring “national mourning for the death of the Head of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council, Sheikh Abdul-Amir Qabalan, today and Monday, September 5 & 6, with the national flag set at half mast in all public administrations, public institutions and municipalities, and regular programs on radio and television stations modified to suit the sad occasion.”
The memorandum also stated that work will be suspended in all public administrations on the funeral day of the late Sheikh Qabalan upcoming Tuesday, September 7.
