Caretaker Culture Minister, Judge Mohammad Wissam Al-Murtada, received in his office in Sanayeh, UNICEF representative in Lebanon Edouard Beigbeder, on a courtesy visit, during which they discussed a number of issues of mutual concern in various fields.

The visit was a chance to tour the National Library, where the UNICEF official expressed his great admiration for this cultural edifice, whether in terms of its site and construction or in terms of its remarkable content of books and manuscripts of rare historical value.

Both men reviewed the possibility of the National Library’s hosting of activities with a cultural dimension organized by “UNICEF”, in light of the special symbolism of this cultural and civilizational landmark in Lebanon.
