Diyala Agriculture Directorate denies exposure of wheat fields to acts of sabotage

The Diyala Agriculture Directorate denied the news circulating about the exposure of wheat fields to acts of vandalism.

The Director of Diyala Agriculture Media, Muhammad al-Mandalawi, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the wheat and barley crop campaign witnessed the registration of 4 fires that were due to accidents, denying the existence of any acts of sabotage against wheat farms.

He added that the security forces near the wheat fields are on alert with the deployment of 20 civil defense teams as a precautionary measure in anticipation of any emergency, pointing out that the harvest process is proceeding according to its planned contents successfully.
