Beirut: Druze Sheikh Al-Aql, Dr. Sami Abi El Mouna, confirmed that the Islamic-Christian Spiritual Summit will be held as scheduled on Tuesday, June 2, at the Druze Dar El-Ta'efa in Verdun with the participation of all religious authorities.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Abi El Mouna addressed the importance of the dialogue gathering, which is set to tackle key issues in light of recent developments and challenges confronting Lebanon and the broader region. He emphasized the necessity of the summit given the current circumstances, stressing the need for its final statement to support national constants and the process of state-building.

Abi El Mouna highlighted that all religious leaders have been informed about the significance of the summit and the exceptional conditions that necessitate its convening. He remains in active communication with various leaders to prepare for the event, which aims to affirm unity and cooperation among Lebanon's religious communities.

In preparation for the summit, Abi El Mouna received a call from Deputy Head of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council, Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, who expressed his support and confirmed his participation. Additionally, Abi El Mouna engaged in consultations with the Maronite Patriarchate in Bkirki and reached out to House Speaker Nabih Berri and former PSP Chief Walid Jumblatt.

The summit's agenda is expected to focus on national priorities and methods to reinforce unity and collaboration among Lebanon's religious groups, all in support of state institutions during these challenging times.
