Jeddah: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi visited Saudi Arabia and Bahrain on Saturday as part of a Gulf tour, meeting Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah and earlier King Hamad of Bahrain in Manama.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meetings focused on regional developments, particularly the impact of rising military tensions in the Middle East on regional and global security. Both sides condemned repeated Iranian attacks on Gulf states' critical and civilian infrastructure, describing them as a serious escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.
Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's solidarity with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, calling for an immediate halt to Iran's hostile actions. Sisi's visits follow trips to the UAE and Qatar earlier in the week.
