The Energy Police Directorate detachments arrested an accused of smuggling oil derivatives and seized his vehicle in Basra Governorate. The Directorate stated in a statement: The detachments of the Ninth Energy Police Brigade in Basra Governorate arrested an accused of smuggling oil derivatives and seized his (tank) vehicle due to the lack of unloading images of previous and current loads in the basin monitoring program, and the accused was detained and the vehicle was seized to complete the investigations and based on Law No. (41) of (2008) on combating the smuggling of oil and its derivatives.
