Exchange of Fire with Syrian Groups

Hermel: Violent artillery and missile shelling is being exchanged on the northern border of the city of Hermel with Syria at this instant. Also, two Syrian militant drones were shot down over the Jarmash border area.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the border region is witnessing intense exchanges of fire between unidentified Syrian groups and parties located on the Lebanese side. The ongoing conflict has led to heightened security concerns in the vicinity, affecting local residents and prompting tighter border controls.

The downing of the two militant drones marks a significant development in the conflict, as such incidents have the potential to escalate tensions further. The Lebanese military has reportedly been on high alert, monitoring the situation closely to prevent any spillover into Lebanese territory.

Authorities have urged civilians in the border areas to exercise caution and have restricted access to certain zones to ensure public safety. The situation remains fluid, with efforts underway to contain the hostilities and prevent further escalation.
