Beirut: MP Ibrahim Kanaan, head of the Finance and Budget Committee, announced that the Finance and Budget Committee has approved the banking sector reform law following a six-hour meeting.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, MP Kanaan emphasized the protection of depositors’ funds and the independence of the Supreme Banking Authority after the session.
