Beirut: Financial Prosecutor, Judge Jamal Al-Hajjar, on Wednesday interrogated former Chairman of the Lebanese Credit Bank, Tarek Khalifeh, and his advisor Ralph Sayyad for over two hours on suspicion of embezzlement and document forgery. The alleged forged documents had been submitted to the Special Investigation Commission at the Central Bank of Lebanon.

According to National news agency – Lebanon, following the lengthy questioning, Judge Al-Hajjar ordered the detention of both men pending further investigation.

Bank employee Anis Wakim was also interrogated during the session but was released under investigation.
