Beirut: Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea highlighted the critical need for the state to address the issue of unauthorized weapons and military organizations in Lebanon. Speaking during the continuation of preparations for his party’s election machinery, Geagea warned that the government’s seriousness will be judged by its ability to implement concrete measures, not symbolic gestures.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Geagea reiterated that superficial or formalistic solutions will not be accepted, stressing that Lebanon’s stability and sovereignty depend on decisive action against illegal armed groups. Geagea called on authorities to prioritize the enforcement of state control over all military and security forces, framing it as a necessary step toward restoring public confidence and national security.
He concluded by emphasizing that the Lebanese Forces remain committed to holding the state accountable and ensuring that any measures taken go beyond rhetoric to produce tangible results.
