Beirut: Director General of Lebanon's General Security, Hassan Choucair, on Wednesday met with Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alaa Moussa, with whom he discussed developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting focused on the current situation in Lebanon and the wider region, addressing strategies to mitigate rising tensions. Both officials emphasized the importance of maintaining stability and explored various approaches to prevent further escalation.

The discussions also covered bilateral relations between Lebanon and Egypt, highlighting the significance of cooperation in achieving regional peace. The meeting underscored a commitment to continued dialogue and collaboration in addressing challenges facing the region.
