(*) GHAJAR ARRIVES AT BEIRUT AIRPORT

Airport – Caretaker Energy Minister Raymond Ghajar arrived at Beirut airport this afternoon, coming from Baghdad after signing an agreement with the Iraqi government.

Speaking to newsmen at the airport, Ghajar said: “The agreement includes importing one million tons of fuel for Electricité du Liban, and it would not have been possible without the efforts of Major General Abbas Ibrahim.”

He added, “This agreement will allow for providing electricity for a period of four months. We want the interest of the Lebanese state, and we take fuel in return for services.”

“The government in Iraq trusts Major General Ibrahim, who opened the doors for us, and we did the part that was required of us,” Ghajar concluded.
