Beirut: Gold prices edged lower on Wednesday as the U.S. dollar remained steady and investors awaited the Federal Reserve's monetary policy decision for signals on inflation and the future path of U.S. interest rates. The central bank is widely expected to leave rates unchanged. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, spot gold slipped 0.1% to $4,021.87 an ounce by 0052 GMT, while U.S. August gold futures fell 0.4% to $4,021.70 an ounce.
