Hajjar Condemns Israeli Strike That Killed Civil Defense Rescuer in Sidon

Sidon: Interior Minister, Ahmad Al-Hajjar, on Wednesday condemned "in the strongest terms" ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon, following a strike that killed a Civil Defense rescuer and wounded another in Sidon earlier today.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hajjar stated that the attack targeted a vehicle, resulting in the death of Fahmi Mohieddine al-Shami, a member of the Civil Defense's South regional center. He described the incident as a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, which mandates the protection of rescue and emergency personnel.

The Minister extended his condolences to the victim's family and colleagues, praising the sacrifices of Civil Defense teams and volunteers who continue to carry out their mission under dangerous conditions.
