Baabda: Interior and Municipalities Minister, Ahmad Hajjar, on Thursday monitored the security situation and field measures from the ministry's operations room, holding calls with governors, the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, the Director General of General Security and the Director General of Civil Defense to review steps taken by the security and administrative bodies under the ministry.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hajjar stressed the need for constant coordination between relevant administrations, local authorities and the Disaster Risk Management Unit at the Grand Serail to ensure proper organization of shelter operations and the provision of basic needs for displaced families while maintaining stability and public order.

Hajjar also received a detailed briefing on the distribution of displaced people across shelter centers throughout Lebanon.
