NNA – Governor of the International Lions Clubs Association, Zone 153 (Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine), Jean-Claude Saadeh, inaugurated the Lions Center for Dialysis at Bouar Governmental Hospital; a center which includes eight chairs with eight machines for dialysis. The inauguration ceremony was held under the patronage of President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, represented by caretaker Minister of Public Health, Hamad Hassan.

The center was achieved through a gift from the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), and financial support from four Lyons clubs, as well as a financial contribution from member of the Strong Lebanon bloc, MP Roger Azar.

In his address, Hassan called upon President Aoun, in the name of the Lebanese society and in the name of values, to offer unyielding “support and assistance so we can bring our citizens (…) safe to shore. Fighting corruption necessitates a solid core. (…) Only when crises and adversities strike can you tell what a person is made of. We are your partners, Your Excellency.”

He stressed that “the ministry, with the absolute support of the President of the Republic and in light of its responsibilities and duties to protect the health sector and to ensure the continuity and provision of the best medical services, will spare no effort to develop this sector and continue to help all segments of the Lebanese society and to ensure the comprehensiveness and development of health coverage, based on the commitment of financial institutions and the Central Bank to continue to provide support.”
