Beirut: MP Ahmad Rostom on Friday met with Health Minister, Rakan Nassereddine, with whom he discussed the health situation in Lebanon, particularly in Akkar. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, talks focused on mechanisms to support public hospitals and primary healthcare centers to ensure their continued operation under the current circumstances. Rostom presented several demands concerning patients and residents in Akkar, stressing the need to strengthen medical services and improve the capabilities of healthcare facilities to better respond to citizens' needs. Discussions also addressed the situation of families displaced from the south and the Bekaa to Akkar, with Rostom emphasizing the importance of providing adequate health coverage and increasing the preparedness of medical centers and hospitals to handle the additional pressure. Nassereddine said the ministry understands Akkar's needs and is working to secure the necessary support for healthcare facilities in the most vulnerable regions.
