AKAR DISCUSSES BILATERAL TIES WITH AMBASSADORS OF BRAZIL, MOROCCO, JORDAN

Deputy Prime Minister, Caretaker Minister of National Defense, Zeina Akar, on Tuesday, received respectively Brazilian Ambassador to Lebanon, Armano Ribeiro, Moroccan Ambassador, Mohammad Karin, and Jordanian Ambassador, Walid Al-Hadid, with regards to the possible assistance they can provide in the health and medical fields in the fight against Covid-19.

 

 

 

Talks featured high on the bilateral ties, and the means of response and support within their countries’ available medical capacities to combat the rampantly spreading Covid-19.

 

 

 

Minister Aker thanked the ambassadors for their countries’ continued support to Lebanon, notably their swift emergency aid to Lebanon in the wake of the Beirut Port explosion.

 

 

 

The Minister stressed that joint cooperation is essential to combat the pandemic in order to ensure that the infected patients and the most underprivileged can receive urgent medical and humanitarian aid in light of the difficult conditions in Lebanon.
