Member of Parliament, Walid Khoury, said on Friday that it was farfetched for Lebanon to approve U.S. Secretary Rex Tillerson’s land and sea border proposals.
“Lebanon would not give up it’s national sovereignty no matter what the circumstances might be,” the lawmaker told the Voice of Lebanon radio station.
However, Khoury deemed Tillerson’s visit an attempt to water down the situation and to come out with serious solutions in cooperation with the Lebanon government to avert undesired outcomes.
At the electoral level, Khoury confirmed his running for the Maronite seat in Byblos on the Free Patriotic Movement’s list.
