Amal Movement MP, Hani Kobeissi, regretted on Wednesday what he described as partisan rhetoric by Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister, Gebran Bassil.
The lawmaker censured the fact that despite the renowned respect of the Lebanese diplomacy, the foreign ministry was acting this way. He also sounded the alarm on the grave consequences of such incidents harming Lebanon and its reputation.
Interviewed by the Voice of Lebanon radio station, Kobeissi explained Ein Teeneh’s cold reaction to President Michel Aoun’s statement on Bassil-Berri row saying that it was due to the fact that the president has placed the oppressor and the oppressed in the same category.
As for the effect of the aforementioned row on the impending Parliamentary elections, the lawmaker confirmed no alliances with the Free Patriotic Movement.
We firmly abide by our fixed alliance with Hezbollah. Future events will decide all the remaining electoral commitments, he added.
