Beirut: IDAL Chairman, Majed Mneimneh, on Thursday met with Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar to discuss ways to strengthen Lebanon's investment environment and attract more local, Arab and foreign investment.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Mneimneh emphasized that security and stability are key factors influencing investment decisions, noting that confidence in state institutions directly enhances Lebanon's competitiveness.
Talks also focused on improving cooperation with the General Security Directorate to facilitate procedures for foreign investors and businesspeople, particularly regarding visas, residency permits, and administrative services.
The two sides further discussed the possibility of launching a "Golden Residency" program linked to productive investment, granting long-term residency to eligible investors and their families in exchange for investments that create jobs, stimulate economic growth, and transfer expertise to Lebanon.
Both parties emphasized the importance of continued coordination among public institutions to provide a secure, efficient, and business-friendly environment that strengthens investor confidence and reinforces Lebanon's position as an attractive regional investment destination.
