IDF Actions Prompt Concerns Over UNIFIL Camera Disabling

Naqoura: In a recent media comment, UNIFIL Spokesperson Kandice Ardiel addressed the issue of the IDF disabling force protection cameras at UNIFIL's Naqoura headquarters. Ardiel noted that, "since yesterday, Israeli soldiers have destroyed all the cameras facing Minghy Street." These cameras were strategically positioned to monitor the immediate vicinity of the headquarters, ensuring the safety and security of both military and civilian peacekeepers residing within.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Ardiel emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating that UNIFIL has expressed its concerns to the IDF and will formally protest the actions taken. She reminded the IDF of their obligation to guarantee the safety and security of UN personnel and to respect the inviolability of UN premises.
