Lebanon: Israeli warplanes on Thursday carried out a wide wave of airstrikes across southern Lebanon and the western Bekaa, targeting multiple towns including Mashghara, Mifdoun, Khiam, Bint Jbeil, Tyre outskirts, and areas in Nabatieh and Marjayoun districts.
According to National Nws Aency - Lebanon, strikes hit residential and agricultural zones, with one guided missile reportedly failing to detonate near Tyre. Repeated raids targeted Khiam and Bint Jbeil, accompanied by heavy artillery shelling on surrounding towns including Maroun al-Ras, Shaqra, and Wadi al-Slouqi. Overnight bombardment caused significant structural damage, particularly in Jezzine's outskirts.
Thermal balloons were also deployed over Marjayoun, while continuous shelling struck border areas and key access points. The escalation has triggered ongoing displacement toward Saida, Beirut, and relatively safer regions, following warnings of potential strikes on crossings along the Litani River.
