Minister of Interior Mazen Faraya opened the new building of Al-Maarad Provincial District, located in western Jerash, in the northwestern part of Jordan, on Monday. The building was recently established by a royal decree for the people of Jerash governorate and approved by the cabinet in May. Faraya stressed the importance of coordination between the administrative governorate and various government and security institutions in the governorate to enhance the level of services provided to citizens, calling for a monthly report on the nature of services provided. He called on citizens to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections to choose the best to meet their aspirations and needs and move away from the old mental mechanisms in choosing who represents them, which are mainly related to tribalism and regionalism. Faraya also visited the Al A'aj Clothing Factory in the area and was briefed on the nature of the factory's work and its role in bringing development to the local community by employing a group of young men and women from the district. He was briefed on the progress of work in the deer reserve area in the Sakib area, expressing the ministry's readiness to support the municipality of Al Maarad to enable it to rehabilitate the reserve and reopen it to citizens.
