Iranian Foreign Minister Criticizes Macron Over Alleged Role in Conflict

Baku:Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has criticized French President Emmanuel Macron, stating that the French public is calling for significant changes and it is too late for Macron to divert blame to others.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Araghchi conveyed his criticism through a post on X, where he shared a previous message from Macron to US President Donald Trump. The Iranian minister interpreted this message as support for the war on Iran.

Araghchi accused Macron of contributing to the conditions that led to the conflict, asserting that it was too late for Macron to shirk responsibility and assign blame to others for a war that he helped initiate.

He also emphasized the demands of French protesters, which include assurances of the right to assemble, urging Macron to heed the voices influencing France's future. These comments were made in the context of ongoing protests in France over increasing living costs, reduced purchasing power, and government economic policies, which have sometimes resulted in clashes with security forces and acts of vandalism.
