Iraq And ACSAD Intend To Sign A Memorandum Of Cooperation In The Environmental Field

The Minister of Environment, Nizar Amidi, received an official invitation to visit the headquarters of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD) to sign a memorandum of understanding in the environmental field.

A statement by the Ministry of Environment stated, “The Minister of Environment, Nizar Amidi, discussed with Nasr Al-Din Al-Obeid, Director General of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD), during their meeting at the ministry’s headquarters today, the establishment of cooperation relations between the two parties and the implementation of constructive work programs, and they discussed issues of interest areas of cooperation and exchange of experiences.

It added, “Amidi praised during the meeting the important role played by ACSAD to achieve Arab food and water security, especially in the recent period in all its fields of work, especially in light of the climate crisis and water scarcity.”

According to the statement, the Director General of ACSAD expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Environment in facing environmental challenges, directing an official invitation to the Minister of Environment to visit the center’s headquarters in Damascus and sign a memorandum of cooperation between the two parties.
