an issued statement on Sunday, MP Kassem Hashem pointed to the cloudy atmosphere surrounding the issue of the government, while the state of collapse and the rapid deterioration in the value of the lira continues, alongside the loss of basic materials, the rampant high prices and the greed and monopoly of merchants, considering that “all of this must stir the national and humanitarian sense of those involved in forming the cabinet in order to abandon their narrow political and sectarian interests that are at the expense of people’s dignity.”

“Isn’t it high time to pay attention to the seriousness of what is being committed against Lebanon and the Lebanese, so that the decision-makers stop their recklessness and procrastination and take a decision stemming from a national will, and reach an understanding over an emergency rescue government capable of stopping the bleeding?” wondered Hashem.

“People have the right to raise their voice of truth that springs from hunger and pain. We are in dire need these days for calm speech and words of kindness, rejecting everything that divides so that hope remains to preserve Lebanon for its children, particularly the initiative of House Speaker Nabih Berri as a last opportunity to address the government’s crisis in all its complexities,” he underscored.

Meanwhile, Hashem hoped that the caretaker government will not delay the executive procedures for the financing card, adding that the important thing remains in ways to secure funding so that the solution does not come at the expense of depositors’ money.
