Beirut: The Israeli army announced Sunday evening that it had launched a new series of airstrikes on the southern Gaza Strip, while media reports indicated that Washington was striving to “save” the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the army said in a statement: “The Israeli army has just begun a wave of airstrikes against Hamas terrorist targets in the southern Gaza Strip following the violation of the ceasefire agreement earlier today.”
Palestinian media reported that Israeli aircraft launched more than 20 airstrikes on areas east of Khan Yunis.
