Israeli Airstrikes and Shelling Intensify Tensions in Nabatieh Area

Nabatieh: Residents of Nabatieh city and the surrounding towns faced a tense night as Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling continued, heightening fear and anxiety across the region.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, after midnight, Israeli warplanes launched a series of strikes targeting the Roueiss neighborhood in Nabatieh Al-Fawqa, resulting in the destruction of civilian homes. The strikes continued at dawn with an airstrike on Arabsalim, which damaged a cemetery room used for burial equipment and caused considerable destruction to graves and nearby homes.

An Israeli drone attack later targeted the home of Al-Rissala Scouts official Haidar Houmani in Nabatieh Al-Fawqa. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported from this incident.

Throughout the night, Israeli artillery concentrated its shelling on several areas including the Ali Al-Taher heights, Al-Dabsha hill, Doha Kfar Roummane, and the outskirts of Mayfadoun and Zawtar Al-Sharqiya. Notably, the report mentioned the use of phosphorus shells during these attacks.

The situation escalated further on Wednesday morning with heavy machine-gun fire directed at the outskirts of Zawtar Al-Sharqiya, marking a continuation of the hostilities in the area.
