Beirut: Former Progressive Socialist Party leader, Walid Jumblatt, on Monday welcomed former U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, David Hale, at his Clemenceau residence, heading a delegation from the Middle East Institute (MEI).
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the meeting discussed the latest political and security developments in Lebanon and the wider region. The discussions involved the presence of Nora Jumblatt, Democratic Gathering MP Marwan Hamadeh, and former political adviser to the U.S. Embassy in Beirut Fadi Hafez.
Talks reportedly focused on the regional situation, U.S. policy toward Lebanon, and the importance of preserving stability and dialogue amid ongoing tensions.
